Follow closely: I found the video above on this page. To embed it in the post all I had to do was copy and paste the URL I just linked and then paste it into the post with special formatting, like this:
[ youtube=http://youtube.com/w/?v=_dIya1aJJKA]
Try it yourself, copy and paste the above into your blog and see what happens. Now browse to another video on YouTube and copy and paste the link as above and paste it in your blog. If this goes well, we’ll be adding support for more and more services using a similar syntax.

Wow, I’ve been wondering how to do that from a wordpress.com account. I’ll work with it and see if I can get it to show up at my own place.
Do the brackets stay in? Is there supposed to be a space in between the first bracket and the “youtube”? It didn’t format for me.
I’ve put a space before the youtube “tag” in order to don’t display the video (code tag don’t disable it)
You need to use it without any space before youtube
Like: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byO6o4zZaFM]
